You don’t live by coming to a consensus.
How often do you abandon the knowing in your heart because you filter it through the people in your life first?
“Don’t live by coming to a consensus, live by coming to your senses.” — Martha Beck
I recently listened to an episode of Glennon Doyle’s podcast, We can do hard things, Martha Beck was as a guest and I found it one of the most profound podcast episodes I have ever listened to.
In my own work with clients, I work through this idea that we filter our dreams, hopes, and visions by what other people will think or what they have told us in the past.
Sometimes we do share those things and the feedback we get makes us water down or suppress our dreams to the point that we tell ourselves there is no point.
